EQUIFEST 2009

On the morning of 20th August Brackenspa Stud set out for Equifest 2009 at Peterborough Show Ground.  Not only did we take two mares and foals, Braeburn, and Brackenspa Multi-Concept, Silver Sixpence, and Brackenspa Grafs RD but we also took two of our yearling fillies, Brackenspa Bramble and Brackenspa Deuce.

The day started well with Brackenspa Deuce showing herself beautifully in the Yearling Riding Horse class, followed by success in the Hunter Yearling Class for Brackenspa Bramble.  Quite an outing for our two yearlings - for their only trip out as yearlings and they behaved immpecably.

Then was the turn of the mares and foals.  Braeburn did well in the Hunter Broodmare class, the judge commented on what a super stamp of mare and what a nice colt Multi-Concept was.  Then for the Hunter Foal class, Brackenspa Grafs RD was a star as ever - 1st placed Hunter Foal - a true credit to us all, and his young sire Athens Mumbo Jumbo.  He seems to love the attention and watchful eyes of judges and spectators alike!   

A super day was had by all and we look forward to next year.
