Second outing for Athen's Mumbo Jumbo.

After the successful trip to the dressage competition at the weekend it was time for some showjumping. We decided that a clear round clinic would be a good place to start. The morning of the 13th arrived with Jumbo well rested from his dressage outing and ready for another challenge.

The course was very nice and inviting although a few scary fillers were situated strategically under some of the jumps. A combination of pineapples and peacocks, olympic rings and gates all provided plenty of mental challenges for our 4 yr. old stallion.

After warming up on the flat and popping a few simple fences we attacked the course. For his first indoor showjumping experience he coped well with the tight turns and the speed at which the next fence appeared in front of him. Taking all of this in his stride we were very proud that he successfully jumped numerous clear rounds, showing bravery, boldness and a fantastic attitude towards the job in hand.

Jumbo's next competition is scheduled for the end of the month but keep your eye on the news section for some footage and further updates.
